The earliest photograph I remember taking was with an old box camera when I was ten years old at Paradise Beach in Ghana. To me the image illustrates how evocative a moment in time can be and capturing those moments has always driven my photography. Even when involved in other visual art pursuits, such as directing television, film and theater in New York City, photography was always a part of me. When I was Staff Photographer at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and subsequently Chief Photographer at American Museum of Natural History, I always looked for those moments. I continue to try to capture them in my photography and am exhibiting my photographs at Art on 1st (arton1st.com) in Roanoke, VA.
